Student Ministries

At OSAC Student Ministries we desire to see students experiencing authentic relationship with their Creator and each other. Our student ministry groups are called Genesis and Exodus. In both groups we as community pray, hear teaching, serve, hang out, worship through ONE Worship gatherings and participate in Discussion Groups.

We want to help students move from a knowledge based faith to a tangible faith they can live out in their daily lives. We believe in providing student's with opportunity to be active participants of the Church, to discover their God given gifts, passions, and abilities. It is our hope that each student leaves their highschool years firmly rooted in relationship with God and thus equipped to successfully encounter whatever comes next on their journey.

Genesis (Jr. High gr. 7& 8):

“WE ARE ABOUT INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CREATOR AND EACH OTHER”

On Sunday Morning’s at Genesis we encourage students to join their family or fellow students in attending Sunday Worship Gatherings with the OSAC community. During the 10 am service Genesis Students are welcome to join us in the Student Room (RM 102) for a time of teaching & community building, toast and refreshments.

On Thursday’s we invite you to join us during the school year (Sept – June) from 7- 8:30 pm in the Student Room (RM 102). Teaching and Discussion Groups occur on alternating Thursday’s. Every Thursday includes large group games, Sugar Shop, and time to hang out together. We also have many other activities including Wednesday evening Quizzing from 6pm – 7pm, regular Joy, Serve and Retreat Events. Click the Genesis link for further details.

Exodus (Sr. High gr. 9 – 12):

“WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF STUDENTS JOURNEYING TOWARDS HOLINESS TO SERVE OTHERS”

On Sunday Morning’s at Exodus we encourage students to join their family or fellow students in attending Sunday Worship Gatherings with the OSAC community. As part of our value initiative for students to become engaged in “being” the Church we encourage the students to become active in their faith either through serving (i.e. Children’s Ministries, Jr. High Ministry, Café, parking, ushers, prayer group, writing for the ONE Journal Team…) or through attending a Next Step Elective.

Join us during the school year (Sept – June) on Wednesday’s from 7 – 8:30pm. We alternate meeting Wednesday's in the Student Room (RM 102) to hear teaching and hang out, and every other Wednesday we gather at local host homes for Discussion Groups. Grade 9-10 meet in one home, Grade 11-12 meet in another. We also have many other activities including Wednesday evening Quizzing from 6pm – 7pm, regular Joy, Serve and Retreat Events.
